Out with the old! And a nice visit!

We have had a lot going on lately. We finally got out of our apartment, away from a weird landlord. YES!! We love LOVE our new place... and I don't have photos of the new one yet, but here is what life looked like in the old place (amidst moving.)

I'll just sprinkle these nature shots in for fun.

Chad's dad came to visit us, and we got up early on Saturday to kayak in Concord. The Sudbury River was absolutely perfect, and we were the only ones out there. Very peaceful!

Chad and his Dad, David

Mr. David really enjoyed it.
Kayaking is one of my favorite outdoor things to do,
so it was fun to take him for his first kayak experience.

Chad's just chillin' making his dad do all the work.

We saw not one but 3 adorable goose families.
Do you see the little goslings in between the parent geese?
I didn't get great photos of it, but it was the highlight of my kayaking :)

And I loved getting my ole' Chacos out! It's finally warm enough to wear sandals!

The Old North Bridge is the historical site of the Battle of Concord, the first day of battle in the Revolutionary War. This is where approximately 500 militiamen fought and defeated three companies of the King's troops. A very important landmark for our country!

That afternoon we went to the Arnold Arboretum. This is a Harvard research center, and it's the oldest arboretum in North America! It was beautiful as well as educational. I'm always looking at trees wondering what their names are, so I liked being able to check the tags on the trees.

Gigantic lobsters!

Then on Memorial Day, we got to go to our first Red Sox game. We loved walking around before the game, getting a beer at every place we stopped, then eating yummy ballpark hot dogs and peanuts at the game. We left early because we were moving the next morning, and the Red Sox didn't win, but still a great Boston experience!

All in all, we had a nice memorial weekend, got moved in, NOT gonna miss the old apartment, and were lucky for some good time with Chad's dad!
